This time, the sky wasn’t the limit. We could fly higher than the sky itself, breaking all the bounds, soaring higher each time. We were unstoppable, dauntless, and unafraid. We ran, until we couldn’t breathe, and then ran more. And then, we flew. We were fast, and could feel the air cuddling us. The ground below us looked tiny, we were giants looming over it. Courage, we thought, is not the absence of fear but rather the judgement that something is more important than fear; The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all. We wanted to live, just this once, not caring about anything. Carpe diem? You can say that. We wanted to break the rules, and then fix them again. Our flight was not long enough. We fell down on the earth, beneath the starry night. The grass was wet with dew drops. But we didn’t care. This was our moment. This was the moment we realized how capable we were of doing things. This was the moment when we realized that we deserve better. This was the moment when we didn’t stop, not at the sky, not at the stars, never. We were invincible and we were infinite.
