Bound

A few tears came to soften her seared vision
A great sickness of heart smote him
Great souls smitten and scourged
But still invested with the dignity of immortality
Surviving the inevitable every time it visited them
A melancholy monotone beat on their hearts
The usual, ripping of their hearts commenced
They sighed in unison
As they got absorbed in a stream of thoughts and reminiscences
A thousand evanescent memories of happy days
At the unknown of the night and of the universe was pressing upon them
Controlling their actions
Making them contemplate their lives in a rush
All was incomprehensible
Amid distress and humiliation
Amid the direful calamities of the time
They sat in the void alone
Borne from lip to lip
Conjuring up scenes of incredible beauty and terror
Worn to shreds by anxiety
Their ephemeral but enchanting beauty had expired forever
There was a mournful and dim haze around the moon
Until sleep overtook them at a stride.
