Female Infanticide

The expectations of the world weighed in on her fragile shoulders
Even before she was born
She was termed of being a liability,
A negativity in a positive melange
A variable in a sea of constants
She was a mythical monster
An image formed by devils full of orthodox
She had no option but to give in
A little baby
A pink head with a few wispy strands of hair
A smile too big for her little face
Clutched her mom’s hand in fear
As evil strangers snatched her away
And plunged her into a trash can
Female infanticide is what we call it
The strangers’ belief killed a girl with a bright future
Speculations carved her a crimson path
Why do this heinous crime you sadists?
She is an asset
A being whose worth you don’t realize
You end up torturing and beating her
And when the epiphany knocks your door
It’s too late.

    I’m glad 🙂
I write these type of blogs to raise awareness about such things happening. It’s such a pity, the plight of such young babies dying, just because they turned out to be of the fairer gender.
