He

He was a rose
Surrounded by millions of thorns pricking me if I touched
Heaven’s gift to humans
He was an perfect soul
An uncracked vessel
A gentle boon
Looking at him hurt the eyes
And yet
It was torture of the most exquisite kind
His eyelashes,
Long intertangled lines of silver streamlets
Fluttered oh so often
And when he smiled,
The world fell apart
At the sight of his face
O, that face!
With indolently handsome eyes
They elicited a remarkably clear and coherent statement
Fearlessness, Bravery
A flight beyond the reach of human magnanimity
And yet there he stood
With everything I ever asked for
When he spoke
There came a language of excessive flattery and adulation
And I stood looking at him
Enacting ludicrous attempts of clumsy playfulness and tawdry eloquence
I was lulled by dreamy musings
As I stared on
The stars from the skies felt at at feet
And made a sparkling carriage
That took me high in the sky
For a trip around the world
And for a trip around my fantasy
It was the best night ever
Until we reached back home and he dropped me back in bed
Are you going? I asked him with my heart breaking at the sight of his absence
No darling he softly said
I’m right here in your heart
And he left me right there
After a night of plain wonder and blissful thoughts
Every night I lay on my bed
Waiting for him to be back
And drag me out of my bubble for a night I wouldn’t forget
And drag me out to the moon
And drag me back to my bed
And drag me back to his heart
And drag me back in my dreams
Literally.
