Fall of the horizon

The day the horizon fell,
The sea blushed a deep shade of purple
The sky thundered down torrents of water
The moon enwrapped itself in a dark blankets of clouds
There were no lights manifested on the ether
An aura of negative surrounded
The trees withered and shook their leaves
The animals mourned a tune of melancholy

The night continued forever
There never again came a red orb of light and hope
Never again did the ground wake up
Covered with gleaming pearls of dew
Never again did we run around playing
Under the blessing of the gods
Never again did the flowers shimmer
A fierce shadow of glitter and happiness
Never again shall we witness
A thin beacon of twinkling luminosity

Formerly known as the horizon
Now we see just a broken dream twinkling at a distance
Shaking its head.
