Forgotten

The giggles in the class
Reverberating all through our hearts
The smiles and the cheesy lines said
They all were not paper, they were real
The clocks ticks slowly
Echoing the misery of our hearts
We wait for the doom to end
Only to see it prolonged
Are we the unlucky ones?
Why are we the unlucky ones?
Looking out the window,
Peeking through the thin slits in the curtain
Waiting for a Disney ending,
A happy ever after
Where are you prince charming?
Snow white has succumbed to her eternal sleep
And the dwarves don’t know what to do
Where are you prince charming?
Sleeping beauty has been asleep for far more than 100 years
Your presence here is due
Where are you prince charming?
Cinderella is tired of sweeping floors and talking to rats
Arrange the Annual Ball ASAP
We are trapped in a glass room
We can see each other too well
But not more, not less
The wait for you seems infinite.
